2012 Obama Vs. Romney
Hurricane Sandy has been labelled an October surprise by the media. Furthermore New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and staunch Obama critic was seen praising the response of the Obama administration. However, given that the event was not created by human beings, the term is a misnomer. After the election, many Green Party members, and other supporters of Jill Stein claimed that the Hurricane was what cost Stein the 1 electoral vote she was expected to get, In Maine, because of comments she made on October 30th, about the Hurricane being the result of the "Reckless energy policies of this administration." The next day she took supplies down to Keystone XL protesters in Texas, and she was arrested by private security, without charge.
