Preservation Efforts
In the last few years the Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway Inc (OTHR) have been steadily restoring the track between Oberon station and Hazelgrove. This task is almost completed and the only major work to do is to relay two road crossings. In recent months two end platform carriages (on loan from NSWRTM) and some smaller wagons have been delivered and are on the tracks in Oberon station. Two 73 class and CPH 13 are awaiting shipment to Oberon to form the OTHR's motive power. It is the long term goal of the association to run trains all the way to the mainline at Tarana.

Famous quotes containing the words preservation and/or efforts:
“It is my hope to be able to prove that television is the greatest step forward we have yet made in the preservation of humanity. It will make of this Earth the paradise we have all envisioned, but have never seen.”
—Joseph ODonnell. Clifford Sanforth. Professor James Houghland, Murder by Television, just before he demonstrates his new television device (1935)
“The attempt to be an ideal parent, that is, to behave correctly toward the child, to raise her correctly, not to give to little or too much, is in essence an attempt to be the ideal childwell behaved and dutifulof ones own parents. But as a result of these efforts the needs of the child go unnoticed. I cannot listen to my child with empathy if I am inwardly preoccupied with being a good mother; I cannot be open to what she is telling me.”
—Alice Miller (20th century)
