According to "Soap's Journal", an item included in the collector's edition of the popular video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the 14-year-old Oban bottling was a favorite of John Price, one of the game's primary protagonists.
It is also apparently a favorite of the fictional character Charlie Skinner, of Aaron Sorkin's 2012 show "The Newsroom". A bottle is seen being shared during a triumphant moment at the end of the pilot episode.
