CAFOD
The school CAFOD team, led by Mr Sumba, is currently the only one in the whole Portsmouth area. Recently formed, it has already sent two students to work in the Kenyan slum of Korogocho for 10 days.
Mr Sumba has also inspired a Holcaust memorial project - with the aim of collecting one million buttons - the memorial to be built in the school grounds.
Mr Sumba has been awarded the pretigious 'Sisters of Christ' award in July 2012 in recognition of his contribution to Catholic education and community in Oaklands.
