Oakdale High School (California) - Music Department

Music Department

The Oakdale High School Music Department has attained many awards and recognitions throughout its existence. The Mustang's Marching and Concert Band (now the OHS Sound Corps) was led by Allison Davis from 2008-10. Since then, it has been under the direction of Ross McGinnis.

During the 2010-2011 school year, the OHS Jazz Band performed at such notable places as the AmGen Bike Race, The County Superintendents' Dinner, and other events. They are currently the high school's only extra-scholastic band.

Since 2006, the Choir has been directed by Bryan Mills. The choir performed at Disneyland in Los Angeles during Spring Break of 2011. The ensemble was greatly awarded with recognition by the "Ears for the Arts" program and experienced a piece of magic in an exclusive Disney workshop.
