Famous quotes containing the words oak, hills, high and/or school:
“I could lecture on dry oak leaves; I could, but who would hear me? If I were to try it on any large audience, I fear it would be no gain to them, and a positive loss to me. I should have behaved rudely toward my rustling friends.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Come over the hills and far with me,
And be my love in the rain.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“Ill walk, but not in old heroic traces,
And not in paths of high morality,
And not among the half-distinguished faces,
The clouded forms of long-past history.”
—Emily Brontë (18181848)
“And Guidobaldo, when he made
That grammar school of courtesies
Where wit and beauty learned their trade
Upon Urbinos windy hill,
Had sent no runners to and fro
That he might learn the shepherds will.”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
