Nottinghamshire Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing the shire county of Nottinghamshire and the unitary authority of Nottingham in the East Midlands of England. The area has a population of just over 1 million.
The force headquarters are found at Arnold. As of 31 March 2005 the force had an establishment of 2,499 police officers, 1,350 police staff, 324 special constables and 102 Community Support Officers. The Chief Constable is Chris Eyre, who has held the post since September 2012.
