Between 2006 and 2008 the club were sponsored by airline Flybe but on 26 April 2008, it was announced that they were stepping down as the main sponsors. On 29 April 2008 it was announced that Aviva who have offices in the city, the parent company of the former Norwich Union, would be the new shirt sponsors having signed a three year contract. In 2009 the deal was extended until the end of the 2011–12 season. It was further extended in 2012 by 4 more years to the end of the 2015–16 season.
