Band
The North Hall Band program consists of a marching band, symphonic band, concert band, jazz band, winter guard, indoor drumline, and several smaller emsembles. The Marching Trojans compete at three competitions during the fall.
The NHHS Jazz Band held a benefit concert in 2007 after an E-F4 tornado struck Enterprise High School in Alabama and demolished the band hall. At the end of the night, the NHBA President announced that nearly $5500 was raised for the Enterprise Big Blue Band and a check was hand delivered the next week.

Famous quotes containing the word band:
“The band waked me with a serenade. How they improve! A fine band and what a life in a regiment! Their music is better than food and clothing to give spirit to the men.”
—Rutherford Birchard Hayes (18221893)
“Nothing makes a man feel older than to hear a band coming up the street and not to have the impulse to rush downstairs and out on to the sidewalk.”
—Robert Benchley (18891945)
“What passes for identity in America is a series of myths about ones heroic ancestors. Its astounding to me, for example, that so many people really seem to believe that the country was founded by a band of heroes who wanted to be free. That happens not to be true. What happened was that some people left Europe because they couldnt stay there any longer and had to go someplace else to make it. They were hungry, they were poor, they were convicts.”
—James Baldwin (19241987)
