Company was founded in 1996, and became famous as developer of several successful role-playing and strategy series, including Rage of Mages (known as Allods in Russia), Blitzkrieg and Etherlords.
Nival also developed Heroes of Might and Magic V and two add-ons, published by Ubisoft.
Nival finances and publishes external developers including KranX Productions, creators of King's Bounty: Legions and Bytex, developers of Berserk Online.
Currently Nival’s internal development studios are focused on major cross-platform online and mobile projects. Only one project is currently announced: Prime World - role-playing strategy.
Nival’s publishing division localizes online games for the Russian market from international game developers in US, Europe, South Korea and China. The company has launched a variety of online multiplayer games, including Marvel Heroes, Cabal Online, Dragonica and Forsaken World. Players access the game through Nival’s gaming and social networking service, ZZima.com.
