In January 2007, Cie Studios released a brand new game, Nitto 1320 Legends. The most major improvement from Challenge to Legends was live racing. Rather than the send and receive model deployed in Challenge, Legends allows racers to race directly against each other in real time. The physics engine for Legends was also a dramatic improvement. In Challenge, racers simply purchased all of the parts and had the most powerful car, leaving the race to reaction time, shifting, and gear ratios. In Legends, racers must find the ideal parts combination from millions of permutations, as well as do well in the elements from Challenge.

The first four cars in the new game were the Ford Mustang '07, Acura Integra GSR, Nissan Sentra '07 and the Scion TC.
