Famous quotes containing the words bore and/or stroke:
“What shall he have that killed the deer?
His leather skin and horns to wear.
Then sing him home.
Take thou no scorn to wear the horn,
It was a crest ere thou wast born;
Thy fathers father wore it,
And thy father bore it.
The horn, the horn, the lusty horn
Is not a thing to laugh to scorn.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“There are no days in life so memorable as those which vibrated to some stroke of the imagination.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
