The second generation Nissan Note was unveiled in July 16, 2012 and sales set to begin in Japan in early September, with following markets soon next year. It is essentially the production version of the Nissan Invitation concept as seen on the 2012 Geneva Motor Show since March. The Japan-spec Note E12 sees a top grade called Medalist, which features plated door handles, exclusive Beatnic Gold body color, suede-like cloth seats and artificial leather, piano-like center cluster finisher and genuine leather-wrapped steering wheel. It will replace Nissan Livina for Chinese and other countries markets within 2013.
The new Note comes with two engine types; a 1.2L HR12DE engine and the supercharged 1.2L HR12DDR engine with the class-leading fuel economy of 25.2 km/L in the JC08 cycle.
In the US, the new Note will be sold as the new Versa Note hatchback, replacing the outgoing, Tiida-based model.

Famous quotes containing the word generation:
“A generation which has passed through the shop has absorbed standards and ambitions which are not of those of spaciousness, and cannot get away from them. Everything with them is done as though for sale, and they naturally have in view the greatest possible benefit, profit and that end of the stuff that will make the best show.”
—Alexander Herzen (18121870)
