The MRA8DE is a 1.8 L (1798 cc) engine, different from the MR18DE as it has a twin variable valve timing system on both the intake and exhaust valves and uses a diamond-like carbon coating. Bore is 79.7 mm (3.14 in) and stroke is 90.1 mm (3.55 in). It produces 130 hp (97 kW) at 6,000rpm and 174 N·m (128 lb·ft) at 3,600rpm .
