Nikwax Analogy - Clothes and Market

Clothes and Market

The main user of Analogy is Nikwax's sister company Páramo with some other small specialist suppliers (such as Hilltrek and Cioch Direct) also producing garments from it. While Analogy clothes have a dedicated following among UK mountaineers, Paramo distribution and marketing to the mass market and outside the UK seems to be extremely limited.

Similar twin fabric systems are used by Furtech and Finisterre, though not using fabrics sourced from Nikwax.

Famous quotes containing the words clothes and/or market:

... there is nothing more irritating to a feminist than the average “Woman’s Page” of a newspaper, with its out-dated assumption that all women have a common trade interest in the household arts, and a common leisure interest in clothes and the doings of “high society.” Women’s interests to-day are as wide as the world.
    Crystal Eastman (1881–1928)

I respect not his labors, his farm where everything has its price, who would carry the landscape, who would carry his God, to market, if he could get anything for him; who goes to market for his god as it is; on whose farm nothing grows free, whose fields bear no crops, whose meadows no flowers, whose trees no fruit, but dollars; who loves not the beauty of his fruits, whose fruits are not ripe for him till they are turned to dollars. Give me the poverty that enjoys true wealth.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
