Nigel Martyn - International Career

International Career

Martyn made his debut for the England national side in Moscow in 1992, becoming one of the few Cornishmen to play for England. He earned only 23 caps for his national side, spending the peak of his career as second-choice goalkeeper behind David Seaman. The timing of his career is considered to be a great disappointment as a player of his calibre would have collected many more caps for the England national side in other eras.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

I doubt that I would have taken so many leaps in my own writing or been as clear about my feminist and political commitments if I had not been anointed as early as I was. Ruth Behar (b. 1956)
