Famous quotes containing the words nicholas and/or carr:
“Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads;”
—Clement Clarke Moore (17791863)
“It is wonderful to feel the grandness of Canada in the raw, not because she is Canada but because shes something sublime that you were born into, some great rugged power that you are a part of.”
—Emily Carr (18711945)
