Other Events At Newtown Park
Newtown Park also serves as a community events centre for the surrounding area, hosting cultural events such as Carols by Candlelight.
The #1 pitch will be re-developed in 2011 to function as a training venue for teams competing in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. During this time, it is expected that football events will be relocated.

Famous quotes containing the words events and/or park:
“Individuality is founded in feeling; and the recesses of feeling, the darker, blinder strata of character, are the only places in the world in which we catch real fact in the making, and directly perceive how events happen, and how work is actually done.”
—William James (1842–1910)
“and the words never said,
And the ominous, ominous dancing ahead.
We sat in the car park till twenty to one
And now I’m engaged to Miss Joan Hunter Dunn.”
—Sir John Betjeman (1906–1984)
