His wife, Josephine Baskin Minow, serves on the boards of many community organizations, including the Chicago History Museum. They have three daughters, all trained as lawyers; Nell Minow, shareholder activist and movie critic; Martha L. Minow, the 12th and current dean of Harvard Law School; and Mary, a library law expert appointed to the Obama Administration.
