Academic Performance
In summer 2011 A-level students gained a record 141 A* and A grades. 31 of which were at A* grade. Students achieved 100% pass rates in 14 A-level subjects, and more than 1 in 3 candidates achieved an A*, A or B grade. Among vocational students, a record 123 achieved a triple distinction, the highest grade possible. Ten BTEC extended diploma courses achieved 100% pass rates.
Department for Education figures showed that in 2011 100% of students at the end of their studying achieved at least 1 A-level pass, while 97% achieved 2 A-levels or equivalent and 77% achieved 3.
