After a twelve-year hiatus from archery, New Zealand returned in 1980 with one man and two women. This included the first paraplegic Olympian, Neroli Fairhall.

Women's Individual Competition:

  • Ann Shurrock - 2422 points (→ 24th place)
  • Neroli Fairhall - 2357 points (→ 35th place)

Men's Individual Competition:

  • Dale Lightfoot - 2417 points (→ 34th place)
