New York State Route 213

New York State Route 213 (NY 213) is a state highway located entirely in Ulster County. It runs from the eastern Catskills to downtown Kingston.

While it is signed as an east–west route, most of its course consists of two segments running in a more north–south direction, giving it a V-shape on the map. The only section of the highway to truly run east–west is a middle segment between its two concurrencies, in the vicinity of High Falls.

Famous quotes containing the words york, state and/or route:

New York has her wilderness within her own borders; and though the sailors of Europe are familiar with the soundings of her Hudson, and Fulton long since invented the steamboat on its waters, an Indian is still necessary to guide her scientific men to its headwaters in the Adirondack country.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    If intercourse gives you thrombosis
    And continence causes neurosis,
    I’d rather expire
    Fulfilling desire
Than live in a state of psychosis.
    Anonymous.

But however the forms of family life have changed and the number expanded, the role of the family has remained constant and it continues to be the major institution through which children pass en route to adulthood.
    Bernice Weissbourd (20th century)
