Famous quotes containing the words fourth, ring, society and/or talks:

    And he was lost among the waves,
    His ship rolled helpless in the sea,
    The fourth month of his voyage
    He shouted grievously
    “Beloved, do not think of me.”

    Full fathom five thy father lies,
    Of his bones are coral made;
    Those are pearls that were his eyes;
    Nothing of him that doth fade,
    But doth suffer a sea-change
    Into something rich and strange.
    Sea-nymphs hourly ring his knell:
    Ding-dong.
    Hark! Now I hear them—ding-dong bell.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    The paradox of education is precisely this—that as one begins to become conscious one begins to examine the society in which he is being educated.

    Who talks of Plato’s spindle;
    What set it whirling round?
    Eternity may dwindle,
    Time is unwound,
    Dan and Jerry Lout
    Change their loves about.
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
