New South Wales Rugby Union

The New South Wales Rugby Union (NSWRU) is the organisation responsible for the sport of rugby union in most of the state of New South Wales, Australia. The Sydney Rugby Union, New South Wales Country Rugby Union and the New South Wales Suburban Rugby Union (commonly known as Subbies) are also affiliated to the NSWRU.

The Monaro, Far South Coast and Southern Inland unions of New South Wales are not affiliated with the NSWRU. They joined the ACT Rugby Union in 2004, which led to that body renaming itself the ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Union.

Famous quotes containing the words south, wales and/or union:

...I always said if I lived to get grown and had a chance, I was going to try to get something for my mother and I was going to do something for the black man of the South if it would cost my life; I was determined to see that things were changed.
    Fannie Lou Hamer (1917–1977)

I just come and talk to the plants, really—very important to talk to them, they respond I find.
Charles, Prince Of Wales (b. 1948)

The sacred obligation to the Union soldiers must not—will not be forgotten nor neglected.... But those who fought against the Nation cannot and do not look to it for relief.... Confederate soldiers and their descendants are to share with us and our descendants the destiny of America. Whatever, therefore, we their fellow citizens can do to remove burdens from their shoulders and to brighten their lives is surely in the pathway of humanity and patriotism.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)
