New Jersey's 13th Congressional District
New Jersey's Thirteenth Congressional District (together with the 14th district) was created starting with the 73rd United States Congress in 1933, based on redistricting following the United States Census, 1930. It is currently represented by Democrat Albio Sires.
Based on the 2010 Census, the 13th District will be eliminated following the 2012 elections. Most of the territory in this district will become part of a new 8th district, which like the current 13th will have a significant Hispanic population.
