Famous quotes containing the words background and, background and/or ideas:

... every experience in life enriches one’s background and should teach valuable lessons.
    Mary Barnett Gilson (1877–?)

I had many problems in my conduct of the office being contrasted with President Kennedy’s conduct in the office, with my manner of dealing with things and his manner, with my accent and his accent, with my background and his background. Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

She [Evelina] is a little angel!... Her face and person answer my most refined ideas of complete beauty.... Her character seems truly ingenuous and simple; and at the same time that nature has blessed her with an excellent understanding and great quickness of parts, she has a certain air of inexperience and innocency that is extremely interesting.
    Frances Burney (1752–1840)
