Current Experiments
Currently, there are at least four experiments aiming at improving the current limit (or measuring for the first time) on the neutron EDM with a sensitivity down to 10–28e·cm over the next 10 years, thereby covering the range of prediction coming from Supersymmetric extensions to the Standard Model.
- Cryogenic neutron EDM experiment being set up at the Institut Laue-Langevin
- nEDM experiment under construction at the new UCN source at the Paul Scherrer Institute
- nEDM experiment being envisaged at the Spallation Neutron Source
- nEDM experiment being built at the Institut Laue-Langevin

Famous quotes containing the words current and/or experiments:
“The first opinion that occurs to us when we are suddenly asked about something is usually not our own but only the current one pertaining to our class, position, or parentage; our own opinions seldom swim on the surface.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
“A country survives its legislation. That truth should not comfort the conservative nor depress the radical. For it means that public policy can enlarge its scope and increase its audacity, can try big experiments without trembling too much over the result. This nation could enter upon the most radical experiments and could afford to fail in them.”
—Walter Lippmann (18891974)
