Famous quotes containing the words popular and/or culture:

For the people in government, rather than the people who pester it, Washington is an early-rising, hard-working city. —P.J. (Patrick Jake)

It is of the essence of imaginative culture that it transcends the limits both of the naturally possible and of the morally acceptable.
    Northrop Frye (b. 1912)
