Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Raising Project (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン 綾波育成計画, Shin Seiki Evangelion: Ayanami Ikusei Keikaku?) is a simulation game created by Gainax and BROCCOLI, and based on the anime and manga series Neon Genesis Evangelion. The gameplay is similar to that of the Princess Maker series also developed by Gainax. It was released for Microsoft Windows PCs in 2001, and the Dreamcast the following year.
A PlayStation 2 version called Shin Seiki Evangelion: Ayanami Ikusei Keikaku with Asuka Hokan Keikaku (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン 綾波育成計画withアスカ補完計画, lit. "Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Raising Project with Asuka Supplementing Project"?) was made another year later. The PS2 version has the original Ayanami route, as well as a new Asuka Route that can be unlocked. A Nintendo DS port of this version was released on August 27, 2008.

Famous quotes containing the words neon, genesis, raising and/or project:
“A pragmatic race, the Japanese appear to have decided long ago that the only reason for drinking alcohol is to become intoxicated and therefore drink only when they wish to be drunk.
So I went out into the night and the neon and let the crowd pull me along, walking blind, willing myself to be just a segment of that mass organism, just one more drifting chip of consciousness under the geodesics.”
—William Gibson (b. 1948)
“Nature centres into balls,
And her proud ephemerals,
Fast to surface and outside,
Scan the profile of the sphere;
Knew they what that signified,
A new genesis were here.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“Slavery can only be abolished by raising the character of the people who compose the nation; and that can be done only by showing them a higher one.”
—Maria Weston Chapman (18061885)
“... one of art photographys most vigorous enterprises[is] concentrating on victims, on the unfortunatebut without the compassionate purpose that such a project is expected to serve.”
—Susan Sontag (b. 1933)
