50 Years Anniversary
The NDT celebrated its 50th anniversary in the summer of 2009 with a new show that was created specially for the occasion in which NDT I and II performed together, paying tribute to the company's founders. There was also a collaboration with the Holland Dance Festival, which honoured the NDT by dedicating the whole festival to the company's 50th anniversary.

Famous quotes containing the words years and/or anniversary:
“To be honest, I knew that there was no difference between dying at their years old and dying at seventy because, naturally, in both cases, other men and women will live on, for thousands of years at that.... It was still I who was dying, whether it was today or twenty years from now.”
—Albert Camus (19131960)
“The second day of July 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more”
—John Adams (17351826)
