Current Status

The library services of NLB and RNIB were merged on 1 January 2007 to form the RNIB National Library Service. The merged service is now part of RNIB and incorporates all the library services formerly provided by the two organisations. NLB now continues to exist only as a 'shell charity' for the purposes of receiving donations and legacies.

Famous quotes containing the words current and/or status:

You are the current of the frozen stream,
Shadow invisible, ambushed and vigilant flame.
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)

What is clear is that Christianity directed increased attention to childhood. For the first time in history it seemed important to decide what the moral status of children was. C. John Sommerville (20th century)
