National Conciliation Party (Egypt)
The National Conciliation Party (Arabic: Hizb Al-Wifak) is a small Egyptian political party with a membership of some 185 members. The party presses for reaching a solution to the Palestinian issue. It also calls for achieving an Arab economic integration, establishing the common Arab market and maintaining the Arab national security. The party nominated its head, Refaat Al-Agroudy, to run for Egypt's first multi-candidate presidential elections in 2005. In September 2012, the National Conciliation Party announced it would merge with the Arab Democratic Nasserist Party, the Dignity Party, and the Popular Congress Nasserist Party to form the Nasserist Party.

Famous quotes containing the words national and/or party:
“The religion of England is part of good-breeding. When you see on the continent the well-dressed Englishman come into his ambassadors chapel and put his face for silent prayer into his smooth-brushed hat, you cannot help feeling how much national pride prays with him, and the religion of a gentleman.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“We will have to stay in this house until 8 oclock in the morning. But we have some party favors for you in these little coffins.”
—Robb White, and William Castle. Frederick Loren (Vincent Price)
