Expansion
Nalco is planning to invest around 40,000 crores of Indian rupees in the next five years starting 2008. The investments will be made in alumina smelters and power projects in Indonesia, South Africa, Iran and within India.
A joint venture between MEC and Nalco will operate a smelter in East Kalimantan for $5.6 billion construction.
