Famous quotes containing the word years:
“Great literature cannot grow from a neglected or impoverished soil. Only if we actually tend or care will it transpire that every hundred years or so we might get a Middlemarch.”
—P.D. (Phyllis Dorothy)
“The cloud was so dark that it needed all the bright lights that could be turned upon it. The great sin of slavery was washed out, but at what a cost!”
—M. E. W. Sherwood (18261903)
