Famous quotes containing the words death, posthumous and/or honors:

I found a dimpled spider, fat and white,
On a white heal-all, holding up a moth
Like a white piece of rigid satin cloth—
Assorted characters of death and blight
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The sire then shook the honors of his head,
And from his brows damps of oblivion shed
    Full on the filial dullness:
    John Dryden (1631–1700)
