In addition to NUMC, the NuHealth system operates Family Health Centers in Elmont, Hempstead, Roosevelt, and Westbury. Services are also made available at Roosevelt High School and South Ocean Care. Bringing a new kind of care to the communities that need it most, the Family Health Centers offer a "medical home" – for individuals and families in their neighborhoods. Compassionate doctors and nurses are on staff at the Family Health Centers, and consultations with specialists in specialty areas of diabetes, OB-GYN and pediatrics are available.

Recognized nationally as a model for skilled nursing facilities, the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility in Uniondale offers innovative extended care in an whole wellness environment. Skilled and caring medical practitioners respond to physical, social and emotional needs of residents, providing services in rehabilitation, diagnostic and radiology services, psychiatric and psychological care, dental and ophthalmology care, podiatry services, cardiology evaluations and treatment, and neurological testing.
