NASCAR: Dirt To Daytona - Car Damage and Malfunctions

Car Damage and Malfunctions

During a race, the car will have some damage. If that's the case, the colors are shown below:

  • No Damage: White
  • Light Damage: Green
  • Medium Damage: Yellow
  • Heavy Damage: Orange
  • Extreme Damage: Red

Also, you may have some malfunctions and other damages during the race. Some of these will be losing your power steering and getting debris stuck on your radiator .

Power Steering: The Power Steering is used to make steering the car much easier. When it malfunctions, the car feels very stiff and hard to control. But on superspeedways like Talladega and Daytona, it isn't a big deal

Debris stuck on the Radiator: When you get debris stuck in your radiator, it increases the Radiator damage from 0% to 10%.

Brake Failure: The break failure is nothing really important to worry about, but it will be a lot harder to stop your car in case of entering the pits and colliding with walls.

Engine Running Rough: This malfunction is a randomized function that only happens on tracks from 1.5 miles to 2.66 miles.

Clutch Failure: When this happens, the car stops accelerating and comes to a stop. The gears go from 4 to 3 then 2 to 1 then N. It will be at N gear at 60 mph . At this speed, the only worry is getting back to the pits to get a new clutch for your truck or cup car.

Famous quotes containing the words car and/or damage:

The car has become the carapace, the protective and aggressive shell, of urban and suburban man.
    Marshall McLuhan (1911–1980)

If every man possessed everything he wanted, and no one had the power to interfere with such possession; or if no man desired that which could damage his fellow-man, justice would have no part to play in the universe.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)
