Public Alternatives To NASA Parkway West
While the NASA Parkway is the principal access route for tourists from Titusville and points west (such as Orlando, Florida), visitors from points to the south, such as Cocoa Beach, Florida need not use NASA Parkway West to cross the Indian River. Instead, they may approach the Kennedy Space Center from the south on Florida State Route 3. Diverted by a security gate, the general public must make a left on Space Commerce Way (Shown as Government Road on some maps), and travel north to join NASA Parkway West to the west of the Visitor Complex.

Famous quotes containing the words public, alternatives, nasa and/or west:
“The study of tools as well as of books should have a place in the public schools. Tools, machinery, and the implements of the farm should be made familiar to every boy, and suitable industrial education should be furnished for every girl.”

“The last alternatives they face
Of face, without the life to save,
Being from all salvation weaned
A stag charged both at heel and head:
Who would come back is turned a fiend
Instructed by the fiery dead.”
—Allen Tate (18991979)
“If we did not have such a thing as an airplane today, we would probably create something the size of NASA to make one.”
—H. Ross Perot (b. 1930)
“Out where the handclasps a little stronger,
Out where the smile dwells a little longer,
Thats where the West begins.”
—Arthur Chapman (18731935)
