Naren Tamhane

Narendra Shankar Tamhane pronunciation (August 4, 1931, Mumbai, Maharashtra – March 19, 2002, Mumbai) was an Indian cricketer who played in twenty one Tests from 1955 to 1960.He was a wicketkeeper batsman.

Naren Tamhane was prominent wicket-keeper known in Mumbai Cricket Circuit.Some critics even rated him as The Best Wicket-Keeper India has ever produced.He was The President Of Selection Committee for Mumbai & India also which selected teenager Sachin Tendulkar for First-class Cricket & International cricket.
