Inconsistencies

INXS may have appeared in 1984 as well, since a version of "Original Sin" on the "I'm only looking" DVD claims to be from 1984. This could just be an error on the part of the DVD contents.

There could have been a body found in the dam the first year as well, or the sources are inaccurate, and are referring to the same person.

INXS did appear on 28 January 1984. Hutchence introduced "Original Sin" by saying "thank you Australia for making this Number One" as the song reached the top of the charts that week.

Sandy and the Sunsets also appeared in 1984 and INXS were definitely there.

Def Leppard were on the bill in 1984, but did not perform as the concert was washed out on the third day (the Monday).

Def Leppard did appear in 1984, however, they were booed and bombarded with paper cups and plates, leaving the stage after just one or two numbers, .

Def Leppard did play, eventually, on the Sunday night in 1984. They were not well received by a crowd frustrated from the long delay and the incessant rain. Many one litre plastic bottles, used to sell beer in but now full of muddy water, were thrown onto the stage and at the band. Also a lot of mud.
