Personal Life
Nana was born to a Japanese mother and American father in Seattle, Washington. She spent much of her childhood in Okinawa, Japan and used her mother's surname, Miyagi, for the entirety of her tennis career; and recently changed it to her father's surname, Smith. She formerly resided in Okinawa and now lives in San Diego, California.
Nana married James Rogers, great-grandson of actor and comedian Will Rogers, at the Will Rogers State Park in 2007. They currently live in San Diego. She also has a successful website making her own line of jewelry and has items in a few boutiques around the country.
