Namba Station (難波駅, なんば駅, Nanba-eki?) is a name of two railway stations in the Namba district of Chūō-ku, Osaka, Japan. One is owned by Nankai Electric Railway and the other is by Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau. The names of both stations are written in hiragana on signage within the stations, because kanji "難波" can be also read "Naniwa". However, the name of both stations officially employs kanji, printed on train tickets.
They are close to JR Namba Station and Ōsaka Namba Station.

Famous quotes containing the word station:
“I introduced her to Elena, and in that life-quickening atmosphere of a big railway station where everything is something trembling on the brink of something else, thus to be clutched and cherished, the exchange of a few words was enough to enable two totally dissimilar women to start calling each other by their pet names the very next time they met.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
