Muyezersky (urban-type Settlement)

Muyezersky (Russian: Муезерский; Finnish: Mujejärvi) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) and the administrative center of Muyezersky District of the Republic of Karelia, Russia, located on the Muyezerka River (Kem's basin), 375 kilometers (233 mi) northwest of Petrozavodsk. Population: 3,328 (2010 Census); 4,007 (2002 Census); 4,400 (1989 Census).

It was founded in the end of the 1930s due to the construction of Rugozersky timber industry enterprise. It was granted urban-type settlement status in 1965.
