Previous Experience
Mutaib bin Abdulaziz served as Deputy Minister of Defense from 1951 to 1956 when his full brother Mishaal bin Abdulaziz was the minister. He and his older brother Mishaal were ousted from the office by King Saud, but they got official power again in 1963 by King Faisal who entrusted them the deputy governorship and key governorship, respectively. Interestingly, both resigned from their posts in 1971 for reasons that are not entirely clear.
Then, Mutaib bin Abdulaziz served as Minister of Public Works and Housing from 1975 to 1980. He is the first Minister of Public Works and Housing since it was first founded in this year. His appointment and Prince Majid's appointment as Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs by King Khalid were a move to reduce the power of Sudairi Seven in the cabinet.
Later, he served as Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs from 1980 to 2009. Mutaib bin Abdulaziz resigned from his post and his son Prince Mansour succeeded him as Minister beginning in November 2009. Prince Mutaib is generally believed to be corrupt.

Famous quotes containing the words previous and/or experience:
“The plot was most interesting. It belonged to no particular age, people, or country, and was perhaps the more delightful on that account, as nobodys previous information could afford the remotest glimmering of what would ever come of it.”
—Charles Dickens (18121870)
“No matter how vital experience might be while you lived it, no sooner was it ended and dead than it became as lifeless as the piles of dry dust in a school history book.”
—Ellen Glasgow (18741945)
