Music in The Parks - Awards

Awards

Once the group, Orchestra, Band and/or Choir, performs at the performance area, they go to the amusement park of the directors choice, and at night, they go to the location of which they are told, according to where they performed, and they are given their awards. Student from each group are asked, normally 1-3, to represent the school, or group, and revive the award in honor of the school. Every group get an award, but are ranked in places, and on a scale from 1-5. 1 - Superior, 2- Excellent, 3 - Fair, 4 - Poor, 5 - Participant. The number of places, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on, is according to how many groups entered. But even if you win 1st, you are not guaranteed Superior, and if you are placed last, you can still be Superior. That is based on performance score. A is for groups under about 100, and AA is for groups over about 100, to be fair, but as a challenge, the director can place a group of under 100, A, in a AA category.
