Murska Sobota ( pronunciation, German: Olsnitz, Hungarian: Muraszombat, Prekmurje dialect: Mürska Subouta) is a city in northeastern Slovenia. It is the centre of the City Municipality of Murska Sobota near the Mura River in the region of Prekmurje and is the regional capital.
