MSN Shopping was an online comparison shopping site in competition with Yahoo.com and eBay. It was a part of the MSN web portal. It aggregated millions of product offers from thousands of retailers. MSN Shopping allowed users to search or browse for products. Searches could be sorted by relevance, popularity or by price (either ascending or descending). Refinements were available to allow the user to narrow the results set.
MSN Shopping has been replaced by Bing Shopping. It was available in the US, Japan, Canada, Australia, UK, France and Germany at its closure.
Famous quotes containing the word shopping:
“The most important fact about our shopping malls, as distinct from the ordinary shopping centers where we go for our groceries, is that we do not need most of what they sell, not even for our pleasure or entertainment, not really even for a sensation of luxury. Little in them is essential to our survival, our work, or our play, and the same is true of the boutiques that multiply on our streets.”
