MOZART Development

MOZART sources can be compiled for a variety of computing platforms. Three versions of MOZART are currently available (contact the development team):

  • MOZART2, the troposphere-only version published in Horowitz et al. (2003).
  • MOZART3 extends MOZART2 into the stratosphere and mesosphere.
  • MOZART4 improves MOZART2's
    • chemical mechanisms
    • photolysis scheme
    • dry deposition mechanism
    • biogenic emissions
    • handling of tropospheric aerosols.
