Famous quotes containing the words mount, cook and/or group:

I mount the steps and ring the bell, turning
Wearily, as one would turn to nod good-bye to Rochefoucauld,
If the street were time and he at the end of the street,
And I say, “Cousin Harriet, here is the Boston Evening Transcript.”
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

I love it, I love it; and who shall dare
To chide me for loving that old arm-chair?
    —Eliza Cook (1818–1889)

around our group I could hear the wilderness listen.
    William Stafford (1914–1941)
