Financial Aid
Mount Aloysius recognizes the expense involved in acquiring a liberal arts education and encourages all students to apply for all available aid. Through the Office of Financial Aid, the College assists students in applying for state and federal grants, loans, work-study awards, and College merit scholarships and grants. The College awards academic monies based on GPA and SAT or ACT scores; these awards are renewable over a four-year period and range from $1000 to $8000 per year. Mount Aloysius College participates in all federal and state programs. In 2003, the College awarded more than $10 million in student financial aid. Ninety percent of the College's students receive some form of financial aid. U.S. News & World Report ranked Mount Aloysius College number one among private liberal arts colleges in the Northeast for the least amount of loan debt among students as they graduate.

Famous quotes containing the words financial and/or aid:
“... aside from the financial aspect, [there] is more: the life of my work. I feel that is all I came into the world for, and have failed dismally if it is not a success.”
—Mary E. Wilkins Freeman (18521930)
“A man, said Oliver Cromwell, never rises so high as when he knows not whither he is going. Dreams and drunkenness, the use of opium and alcohol are the semblance and counterfeit of this oracular genius, and hence their dangerous attraction for men. For the like reason they ask the aid of wild passions, as in gaming and war, to ape in some manner these flames and generosities of the heart.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
